That is why I have made it my mission to work with countless head coaches, unit coordinators, positional coaches and players to impart knowledge and provide instruction with drills to make them technically proficient in the game of football especially Special Teams. I believe in mental, physical and emotional training to compete to win. This, more than anything, is a direct reflection of my success as a Football Coach.

Coach Cieri during his 51 year career has been a High School Head Coach, and on the collegiate level Special Teams, Offensive & Defensive Coordinator. Coach Cieri has worked in conjunction with Coaches Choice, Glazier Clinic and Vault, AFCA and American Football monthly producing books, PowerPoint presentation, and live skill and drill demonstrations to have the Winning Edge in Special Teams, Defense and Offense.

Winning the Hidden Yardage Battle
Special Teams are as vital a part of the game as offense or defense. The Kicking Game can provide the "Winning Edge" when every player and coach on the team wholeheartedly believes in its importance to the goal of victory. An examination if statistics confirms the importance of the kicking game. For example, 20%-30% of all plays are kicking plays. Furthermore, 30% of all points scored come from special team plays. In fact, in a 10-game season, there will be approximately 90 big plays that involves special teams for or against. Finally, large chunks of field position are gained or lost during kicking plays.
Every Special Team play involves big yardage, momentum, or scoring (sometimes all 3) in the same play. Therefore, it behooves the coach to make Special Teams SPECIAL.
